In São Paulo, it’s estimated that there are 200 cockroaches for every person. The three most common types are the Frenchie cockroach, the American cockroach, and the Oriental cockroach. Though often seen as unpleasant pests, they actually play an important role in the ecosystem — consuming organic waste that no one else wants. They clean up the mess no one likes.
The brown, oval-shaped cockroaches of São Paulo — ever-present tenants of the city — inspired the creation of this piece. The dress comes with a stylish little cape.
